Per-Technician Rates

Set commission rates per technician, per line item, or per category. Each tech can have unique rates based on experience, specialization, or performance.

Discount-Based Sliding Scales

Optionally enable discount-based tiers where the commission rate adjusts based on the discount given on the sale. Techs who sell closer to list price earn higher commissions.

Rate Snapshot Immutability

When a sale is recorded, the current base price, commission rate, and overage rate are frozen into the sale record. Changing rates later never retroactively alters existing commissions. No payday surprises.

Overage Commissions

When technicians sell above the base price, the overage amount earns a separate commission rate. This incentivizes techs to sell value without discounting.

Pay Period Management

Create pay periods, review commissions, then close the period to lock in final numbers. Reopen if corrections are needed. Full audit trail included.

Commission Formula

base_commission  = (base_price × commission_rate) / 10000
overage          = MAX(0, sale_price - base_price)
ov_commission    = (overage × overage_rate) / 10000
total_commission = base_commission + ov_commission

All calculations use BigInt cents with banker's rounding. No floating point errors.
